Langkofel

Top 5 hikes in Val Gardena

The Dolomites have always been one of the top hiking areas in the Alps and are probably one of the most varied mountain regions in the world. Magically beautiful larch and meadow landscapes alternate with steep, steep rock bastions with their vertical wall lines. In between, picturesque mountain huts and mountain lakes - what more could a hiker want? We have selected the most beautiful hikes in Val Gardena for you and present you the “best of” the region. The landmark of the region, the Langkofelstock, rises 3181m into the sky and is the real eye-catcher. Many tours are of course reserved for climbers only, but there are also some really worthwhile easy tours on and around this imposing mountain, especially on the Alpe di Siusi. This plateau at around 1800m is the largest alpine pasture in the Alps and a true paradise for you rather leisurely hikers. From Wolkenstein, St. Christina and St. Ulrich, a large number of cable cars shorten some tours.
