You start in Mittenwald at the train station and drive south on the Innsbrucker Straße to the end of town. Here you cross the bridge over the river Isar to the right and continue to the sports facilities in the Ried. You cycle past the tennis court into the Riedboden nature reserve, at the end of which you have to cross the Isar once again shortly before Scharnitz.
