Zafernhorn, 2107 m
A sharp lookout point with an entertaining circular trail The elegantly shaped Zafernhorn with its often sharp grassy edges is one of the links between the Bregenzerwald and Großes Walsertal hiking regions. Its advantages (such as high starting point and summit altitude, no compulsory valley access, circular tour options on mostly easy paths and no access to mountain hotels or lifts) also include an informative lookout.
Starting point: Damüls, bus stop on the Faschinajoch (municipality of Fontanella), 1486 m; parking lot.Requirements: Well-marked farm tracks, paths (some with wire ropes) and trails. Short, steep ascents.
