Zafernhorn, 2107 m
A striking viewpoint with an enjoyable circular trail: The elegantly shaped Zafernhorn, with its often sharp grassy slopes, is one of the links between the hiking regions of the Bregenzerwald and the Großes Walsertal. Its advantages (such as a high starting and summit elevation, no mandatory valley access, the possibility of circular tours on mostly comfortable paths, and no development by mountain hotels or lifts) also include an informative view.
Starting point: Damüls, bus stop at the Faschinajoch pass (municipality of Fontanella), 1486 m; parking area. Requirements: Well-marked farm tracks, trails (some with wire ropes) and paths. Short, steep ascents.
