The Kloo-Ascher Valley is well known to every cross-country skier in the region - but winter hikers will also find a visit to the "refrigerator of Bayrischzell" worthwhile. Here, the ice crystals in the trees still glitter when they have already thawed in the surrounding valleys.
Moderately difficult winter hike from Bayrischzell to the Kloo-Ascher valley. The route runs along easy paths, but trekking poles and snow spikes can still be helpful.
