During this nature/culture hike the attentive hiker will find many evidence of the eventful past of the Traun.
Be it the salt transport, which has left interesting traces. With weirs, Klausen or the Treppelweg. But also numerous mills lined the banks of the Traun on both sides. Somestill exist and of some there are still relics to be seen today. With Hans Gebetsroithner, the Gmundner Traun gained a legendary reputation as a first-class fly water and the fly fishing elite of the time gathered here.
