Anninger hiking region: From Pfaffstätten train station to the Wilhelmswarte lookout tower and back

The Anninger (675 m) – about 20 km south of Vienna – together with the Eschenkogel (653 m), the Vierjochkogel (651 m) and the Buchkogel (639 m) forms a massive limestone mountain range. This low mountain range on the eastern edge of the Alps – at the edge of the Vienna Basin – can also be described as the heart of the Vienna Woods Biosphere Reserve, where nature and culture exist in harmony.
