Forest air bathing in Rainbach   Rainbach is located in the Mühlviertel highlands between the mountain ranges of the Bohemian Forest and Sternwald in the west and the Freiwald in the east. The north-south connection, which has been important since prehistoric times, runs through the municipality through the Bohemian Gate to Bohemia. And it is home to the Heidenstein, an old and important cult center. The center of the Rainbach plateau is the Birauberg to the northwest, a once very impressive moor forest.
