Forest and gorges of Venasque

Dense forests and deep gorges on the Vaucluse plateau: This hike impresses with its mix of beautiful woodlands, wild gorges, and far-reaching views. With a bit of luck, we might even spot wild boar.

Starting point: Camp Long, 333 m. From Carpentras, we drive on the D4 towards Apt, passing Venasque. About 3 km after the village, before a sharp left-hand bend, we look out for the sign for the access road to the Gîte "Borel" near Camp Long. There is very little public parking available.
