Walchensee – Jochberg
A real "hit "The fact that the Jochberg is one of the most popular summit destinations in the Isarwinkel is particularly evident on good weather weekends: Lack of parking spaces on the Kesselberg! So it"s a good idea to take the bus from Kochel; alternatively, you can descend via the Kotalm, 1133 m, to Kochelsee. Of course, it is no coincidence that the Jochberg is at the top of the list for hikers: the ascent is short, the view is magnificent, especially the view down to the two lakes on the Kesselberg, the Walchensee and the Kochelsee.
Starting point: Pass summit on the Kesselberg, 850 m; bus stop; approach from Kochel. Parking facilities on both sides of the summit.Requirements: Quite short hike, decent, somewhat stony paths only towards the summit.Refreshments: Jocheralm, in summer. The path to the Jochberg branches off just a few meters south below the Kesselberg (signs).
