Vorderüntschenalpe, 1757 m

A viewing platform overlooking the young Bregenzer Ach river: "One can shout for joy high up. One feels wonderfully at ease." This feeling of happiness comes from the autobiography "Aus meinem Leben" (From My Life) by the local poet Franz Michael Felder, who was born in Schoppernau. Even during the leisurely climb to the Vorderüntschenalpe alpine pasture, one feels the fresh energy of pristine mountain nature and, at the destination, the carefree joys of being high above.
