Photo opportunities galore! Besides climbing and hiking around the central peak, another circular route is available in the Nuvolau group: around Monte Averau. It also starts at the Rifugio Scoiattoli, is easy, and follows well-maintained paths. However, the summit itself is only accessible to experienced mountaineers via a secured climbing route. The entire hike takes about two hours, during which you can enjoy breathtaking scenery!
Starting point: Valley station of the Cinque Torri chairlift, 1900 m (parking lot, Cinque Torri stop on bus line "Cortina Express" no. 465), in the Val Falzarego near the Great Dolomites Road, 13 km from Cortina. Lift mountain station at Rifugio Scoiattoli, 2225 m. Lift operation from June 15 to September 30, daily.
