Torre di Bogian, 693 m
A prime spot at the entrance to the Traversagna Gorge. This hike comprises two distinct parts. The first section follows the Moesa River at a leisurely pace through a surprisingly pristine river landscape, very close to the motorway. The second part leads up a steep, gravelly track to the Torre di Bogian at the entrance to the Traversagna Gorge – an impressive tower ruin! The tower hill is not only a wonderful place to rest but also offers a stunning view. Along the way, you can also enjoy art: the noteworthy pilgrimage church of Sant'Anna.
Starting point: Grono, 333 m. Bus stop. End point: Roveredo, 294 m. Bus stop (Post Office). Requirements: Mostly comfortable, wide paths in the valley floor, but also steep and rough paths, especially from Sant'Anna onwards. Refreshments: Restaurant Grotto Provée, +41/79/6273885. Alternative route: Monti Lava, 1052 m ("Monti" = Alp/Alpine pasture).
