Sulzenauhütte und Blaue Lacke
Wild waters and pretty lake eyesRushing waters and glacial striations are the dominant elements around the Sulzenauhütte, which lies in the middle of a picture-book landscape shaped by glaciers in the central Alps. Even down in the valley, the unusually wide Grawa waterfall is an impressive natural spectacle. This marks the start of the ascent along the "WildeWasserWeg" up to the large floor of the Sulzenaualm, a stopover in the direction of the Sulzenauhütte one level higher. As a little extra, the Blaue Lacke, a colorful glacier milk lake at the foot of the Aperen Freiger, beckons.
Starting point: Parking lot and bus stop "Sulzenauhütte", approx. 1590 m, in the inner Stubai Valley. Another parking lot is available at the Grawa-Alm.Requirements: T2-3. Relatively stony mountain hiking trails, which require some surefootedness in places, but are generally well laid out. The lower section has dense vegetation and tends to get wet.
