Three stages on the Swabian-Allgäu hiking trail This has connected Augsburg with Sonthofen since 1978, with one branch also leading to the Kneipp town of Bad Wörishofen. It takes you for hours through extensive forests, the idyllic Anhauser Valley with its numerous fish ponds - one of the most beautiful valleys in the Augsburg Western Forests Nature Park - and along the wooded upper edge of the Wertachleite. There are always benches at the edge of the forest with beautiful views - in foehn weather sometimes with a magnificent Alpine panorama. We then leave the nature park in Tussenhausen and hike through the meadow and wooded gravel and old moraine landscape to the world-famous spa town of Bad Wörishofen.
Starting point: terminus of streetcar line 3 Stadtbergen (482 m).Requirements: Stamina required. Mostly very well signposted or marked with a blue Andreaskeuz (partly signs, partly on trees, rarely as stickers on traffic signs).
