A secluded monastery and a charming wooded gorge: The hike leads to the solitary, beautifully situated chapel of St-Probace. The path through the Caramy gorge is particularly enchanting, with its lush vegetation giving it an almost primeval forest feel.
Starting point: Pont Romain (Roman Bridge), 275 m. From St-Maximin-la-Ste-Baume, take the N 7 southeast to Tourves. We cross through the center and at the eastern end take the Av. Gaou, which branches off sharply to the right (narrow, numerous concrete sleepers) and follows a small stream almost parallel to the N 7.
