To the famous cakes on the HochalmTo the east of the Winklmoosalm is a fantastic winter touring area in the snow-sure Heutal valley. On the north-west side of the Peitingköpfl, loose powder snow is preserved for a long time, while sun worshippers and firn lovers get their money"s worth early in winter on the south side of the Sonntagshorn. And everyone meets up at the Hochalm, where the small, cozy snack station is bursting at the seams on nice weekends. The cakes, strudels and tarts are famous here, a sweet temptation that few who have managed to get one of the rare seats can resist. And that"s why it makes double sense to pull up the sledge: In addition to the quick descent to the parking lot, this is our very own personal coffee-and-cake seat that no one can dispute! And after the strenuous and steep tour up the Sonntagshorn, we"ve well and truly earned it.
