Easy Karwendel Summit: How the Sonnjoch gained its reputation as a challenging, even difficult, summit will remain a mystery to anyone who has ever unpacked their lunch on its peak. Granted, the ascent is fairly long and therefore strenuous, but it's really not difficult. Yet, one could certainly feel a sense of awe at the sight of this enormous rocky outcrop with its two immediate neighbors, the Schaufelspitze and the Bettlerkarspitze. The summit views aren't the only rewarding aspect of the tour. This majestic Karwendel mountain is also so beautiful because the route leads only very little through the forest.
