Secrado Baía – Praia da Fontona

Hidden natural beaches on the west coast This particularly natural hike leads through a desert-like landscape with few acacias and crown flowers (Calotropis gigantea). To the north of Murdeira Bay, the route follows the coastline past dreamy little bays to a hidden dream beach with fine sand. This is located at the foot of the 165 m high Monte Leão volcano. More natural beaches follow in absolute seclusion until we reach the fishing village of Palmeira, which has not yet been discovered by tourists. The song of the sea and wind is our constant companion on this tour.
