Mini tour over the ArzmoosThe name of our mountain doesn"t live up to its promise at all, and the ascent is anything but terrible. If you"re looking for a tour for half a day in good weather, want to try out your snowshoes on the mountain for the first time, want to impress but not overwhelm your loved one(s) in untracked snow, or are looking for an exciting winter adventure with children - the Schreckenkopf is the perfect place for you. The small mountain above the Sudelfeld offers flat and steep, sunny and shady ascents and is also quite safe from avalanches. The only downside to this ideal playground is that the season is short. The low altitude and the sunny slopes do not preserve the snow and so the Schreckenkopf is a destination for the height of winter, on cold days when the last snowfall was not long ago.
