Three-thousand-metre peak for steadfast alpine hikersAs a glacier-free three-thousand-metre peak and an ideal summit destination from the Magdeburger Hütte, the Schneespitze enjoys great popularity, especially among ambitious hikers for whom the boundaries between hiking and mountaineering are blurred. Of course, the route is classified as "black" in our selection, but if you are sure-footed on the typical boulder scree terrain and can also master a steep via ferrata section with courage, you will get some great high alpine impressions here. We are standing right on the Stubai main ridge in illustrious summit company.
Starting point: Magdeburger Hütte, 2423 m. For access see tour 7.Requirements: T4. Marked route in high alpine terrain, initially on a good path through glacier polish and boulder scree, later more untidy and steeper in places up to the start of the via ferrata on the south-east ridge.
