The Nico Dostal Trail through the Korneuburg Basin: On November 27, 1895, the composer Nico Dostal was born in Korneuburg, whose songs and operettas gained fame far beyond the town's borders. The Korneuburg Hiking Club has dedicated the 18 km long Nico Dostal Trail to him, which connects the three popular destinations of Hofau, Schliefberg, and Kreuzenstein Castle.
Starting point: Korneuburg train station, 167 m, park and ride facility. Requirements: Difficult trail conditions in wet conditions in Hofau and up to Leobendorf. Refreshments: Burgwirt restaurant at Kreuzenstein Castle, inns and wine taverns in Leobendorf and Korneuburg. The Nico-Dostal-Weg trail, marked with blue dots, leads from Korneuburg train station to the underpass.
