Sadnig High Trail

A grand panoramic loop on quiet paths: The Sadnig High Trail reveals a diverse landscape. From the Kelag reservoirs, we hike through the flower-filled Kleinfragant nature reserve, cross the wild Ochsentrieb stream, and relax on the gentle alpine meadows at the Schobertörl pass. There, we have the choice of climbing the Makernispitze peak or succumbing to the temptation of a quick descent to the cozy Fraganter Hütte mountain hut. The next day, we ascend to the summit of the Sadnig, the highest peak in the Sadnig group. With an ascent via the Kleiner Sadnig, the ridge crossing to the Sadnig summit, and a descent via the Sadnigscharte pass, a beautiful and scenic circular hike awaits us, complete with an exciting climbing section.
