Two-day tour over the highest mountain range on the islandThis circular hike over the Caldera Ridge, which takes at least two full days, can be described without exaggeration as the most outstanding tour on the island: No fewer than seven peaks are taken on the Great Caldera Circuit. However, it requires a very good level of fitness and alpine experience. As there is no shelter available for overnight stays, the tour should only be undertaken in the summer months. A night under perhaps the clearest starry sky in Europe, in the immediate vicinity of the observatories, and the fantastic views over large parts of the island, but especially down into the caldera - these are the highlights of this tour of force.
