A pearl of the OstallgäuOf the many lakes in the Ostallgäu, the Weißensee is one of the most beautiful. Its rustic southern shore literally clings to the steep slope and is sometimes even peppered with rocks, while on the other side, untouched reed zones alternate with individual spots for swimming and water sports. There are plenty of entertaining contrasts along the six-kilometre loop. The only thing you shouldn"t expect is great solitude; there are also plenty of cyclists out and about, especially on the northern shore.
Starting point: Lake, approx. 790 m, parking lot and bus stop for the Füssen - Pfronten bus line at the lido. Alternatively, you can also start in the village of Weißensee or at the parking lot on the eastern shore (Saloberstraße).Requirements: T1. Almost flat lake circuit, partly on cycle path (north shore), partly on rooty natural path (south shore).
