An attractive 3000-meter peak above the Franz-Senn-Hütte: In mountaineering circles, the 3,000-meter mark is generally considered "magical." Many a summit seeker who has acquired a good deal of alpine experience over time looks for potential destinations at this altitude, preferably with a marked route, as no one wants to venture into supposedly unpredictable terrain. It's no wonder that the Rinnenspitze has long been a popular choice, especially since it's located near a well-frequented mountain hut and the summit section has been made easier with a via ferrata-style route.
