From the east to the highest point of Monte Baldo: The Monte Baldo ridge appears considerably less spectacular from its eastern side than from the Lake Garda side. However, we have the advantage of shorter routes, as our starting point lies more than 1000 meters above sea level. We can also forgo using a cable car. The highest peak, Cima di Valdritta, can be reached in about two hours on foot. However, we plan to climb this peak as part of a circular hike, stopping at the Rifugio Telegrafo, perhaps even spending the night there, as it is the highest mountain hut in the entire Lake Garda region, offering a magnificent view down to the lake. At the end of the hike, we will also visit the botanical garden near the Rifugio Novezzina.
Starting point: Valley town: Ferrara di Monte Baldo, 849 m; small town on the Monte Baldo high road with a hotel and restaurants. Starting point: Rifugio Novezzina, 1235 m; about 3 km north of Ferrara di Monte Baldo next to the road. Parking is available there. Requirements: To Rifugio Novezzina...
