Reuterwanne, 1542 m
Grasschopf above the Wertach valleyThe flawless, slightly inwardly curved meadow slope on the south side makes the Reuterwanne unmistakable. This name for a mountain is probably not quite correct; only this conspicuous steep hollow and not the summit above it can actually be described as a trough. Paths lead to the broad forest and meadow mountain from all sides, so that not only our route, but also circular tours from Jungholz and Hinterreute are possible. From the open summit you can enjoy a wide panorama, but also charming views down to the Grüntensee as a special attraction.
Starting point: Alpenhof Reuterwanne, 1100 m. From the Allgäu-Autobahn A 7 (exit Oy) on the B 310 past Wertach to the junction of the road to Jungholz behind the first Talenge. Turn left here on a small toll road to Alpenhof Reuterwanne. No bus service.Requirements: Mountain paths without problems, quite muddy and slippery after rain.
