Purtschellerhaus, 1692 m
Invitation to visit a traditional alpine lodging house at the foot of the GöllstockLudwig Purtscheller was one of the mountaineers of the 19th century with probably the most documented tours. He recorded almost 1700 peaks in his tour book, many of which he climbed for the first time, including Kilimanjaro. So it"s no wonder that Alpine enthusiasts have named a hut in his honor. This hut is a popular base for climbers of the Hoher Göll and also offers that certain something of coziness and - not to forget - a truly magnificent view of the Salzach Valley. Reason enough to pay this place a visit.
