Extensive valley route from Oberperfuss to OberhofenIf you don"t automatically think of mountain tours when you think of activities in the heart of Tyrol, you can also discover attractive routes at lower altitudes. One of these is the trail between Oberperfuss and Oberhofen, named after the cartographer Peter Anich (1723-66). Anich lived in Oberperfuss and became famous above all for the "Atlas Tyrolensis", one of the most important scientific achievements of his time. The five-hour walk offers beautiful views from the picturesque low mountain terraces south of the Inn. The focus is on the south-western corner of the Karwendel and the Mieminger Kette with the dominant Hohe Munde.
Starting point: Oberperfuss, 812 m. Bus connection from Innsbruck or from Kematen station.End point: Oberhofen im Inntal station, 622 m. By train back to Innsbruck or Kematen.Requirements: T1. Very easy, but quite long hike close to the valley, altitude always below 1000 m.
