Pernegger Rundwanderweg

Below Pernegg, the Mödringer Forest extends to the edge of the Horner Basin. The hiking trails lead through this mixed forest. The Pernegg monastery complex is located outside the town. The Pernegg nunnery, founded in 1153 by Count Ulrich II of Pernegg, has had an eventful history. The monastery was plundered by the Hussites in the course of the 15th century.
