Where the Argen leaves the AllgäuThe largely protected valley of the Argen, which is often squeezed through the West Allgäu like a gorge, widens out near Steinenbach: a glorious piece of Upper Swabia! Our tour destination is Lake Langensee, embedded in glacial moraines, with its protected variety of habitats: fens and intermoor stages, reed zones and spring swamps, litter meadows and scrub zones.
