In both summer and winter, the Kröndlhorn is a long but very worthwhile tour destination. The view of the ice giants of the Hohe Tauern and the Zillertal Alps is unparalleled.
From the car park, turn left into the Trattenbachtal. First, hike along the wide alpine path. At the first intersection, turn left towards Trattenbach Grundalm. Shortly before the next bridge, the hiking trail branches off on the left. Following this takes you directly to the alpine pasture. Continue to the Trattenbach Hochalm.
