On the landmark of southern Lake Gard aOn the western side of Lake Garda, a rocky peak rises 1,500 meters above the lake. And as no higher mountain in the surrounding area can compete with it, it can certainly be described as the landmark of the southern Lake Garda mountains. The view from its summit - provided the air is clear - is therefore overwhelming. Just below the summit, a small shelter awaits us, the "Due Aceri" bivouac, which offers shelter in the rain and wind. There are two easy climbs to this summit, the route via its north-east side and the approach from the south, both of which meet at the Passo di Spino; from there, we head up to the open summit. With a small detour, we can also combine this tour with an overnight stay by hiking the short, easy path from the Passo di Spino to the Rifugio Passo allo Spino.
Starting point: Valley town: Toscolano, 78 m; administrative center of the starting point: the twin town of Toscolano-Maderno with a Roman past (excavations). Bathing resort with beach, campsites and hotels.
