Montagut

Round tour on wide, panoramic heightsThe Montagut is only the second highest peak on the upper reaches of the Riu Gaià, but certainly the most panoramic. Its vast heights are deserted, the numerous castles and proud farmsteads now only have ruined walls; only the mighty castle church of Sant Jaume de Montagut still stands defiantly on the heights. Our solitary hike takes us along forest roads and narrow paths to two peaks and over the shoulders of the mountain.
