The Malhamspitzen, a mighty four-peak massif, form the ice-crowned end of the Virgental valley. The Mittlere Malham, with its "Böse Wand Kees" glacier, which resembles a white sheet when snow conditions are perfect, is visible from Matrei and makes the heart of every ski tourer beat faster.
