Maltschbachtalweg
The Maltsch drains the northeastern slopes of the Viehberg at about 1,000 m above sea level. The spring water comes from a depth of about 80 m and penetrates to the surface via many water veins.
Take the B38 towards Kohlstatt, turn left there and walk along a very beautiful forest road to Hacklbrunn and Unterwald. From here you go back through the Plochwald, Steinbruch and Hundsberg.Depending on how rainy or dry it is, water may already be flowing here or you will only find it a little further down. For the first 6.5 km the Maltsch flows on Austrian soil.
