A quaint spot of earth between towering rocky peaks: The secluded Madrisajoch on the border ridge with Switzerland, in the rarely visited mountain corner between the two Madrisa peaks, is a fitting example of how the happiness and contentment of the mountain hiker do not only reside on famous summits.
Starting point: Gargellen, bus stop at the Schafbergbahn cable car, 1420 m, parking lot. Requirements: Well-marked paths, trails, and tracks, initially a logging road. Moderate ascents with short steep sections. Good sense of direction required.
