A secluded gem within sight of the hustle and bustle of Sölden. It's typical hiking practice that the most popular routes lead to, or at least include, managed mountain huts or alpine pastures. But for those who want to escape the crowds, enjoy a packed lunch, and discover traditional mountain farming culture in its tranquil, unspoiled state, a trip to the Kaiserbergalm is highly recommended. From its balcony, you can enjoy a magnificent view – especially of Sölden, which is likely quite busy at the same time.
Starting point: Kaisers, approx. 1340 m, hamlet north of Sölden. Bus stop Gehörde on the Ötztalstraße. Requirements: T2. Ordinary mountain path through forest, well-maintained and without particular difficulties.
