This tour is a crossing of the Jauerling, the highest mountain on the Danube and takes us into the heart of the . At the summit, the Wachau Valley awaits us with its Wachau terrace.
Crossing the Jauerling
From Mühldorf we hike over the 628 m high Trenning past the highest vineyard in Lower Austria to the Jauerling, the roof of the Danube. The nature park house with its Wachau terrace awaits us at the summit. Our route continues via Benking through a wonderful forest landscape past the Hirschenkogel, Zwölferkogel and Elferkogel to the Hinterhaus castle ruins.
