Picturesque hill country around the market town of Isen "If you want to be healthy in body and soul, flee to this fountain spring!" is written on the fountain house of the Müllner-Bründl, a legendary healing spring in the forest above Isen. This is exactly what we want to do on this hike, before taking a long walk through the upper Isental valley, which is thankfully unaffected by the new A 94 highway route. The world still seems to be in order there: Well-tended cultivated land and idyllically situated farms dominate the picture; at Lichtenweg - one of the highest points in the district of Erding - the Alps come into view, then quiet forest and meadow paths lead to Burgrain Castle, before the Müllner-Bründl invites you to take a refreshing break at the end.
Starting point: Markt Isen, market square in the village center near the church of St. Zeno, 516 m. Parking lots and bus stop Isen, town hall (various lines).Requirements: Mainly wide paths and roads, only between Hube and Burgrain and at Müllner-Bründl also narrow, overgrown paths.
