A classic and popular tour in the Gsies Valley. Our tour is only gradually gaining popularity among snowshoe hikers, but it has long been a favorite with ski tourers. We make our way through mostly rutted slopes, which, however, makes orientation and trail-breaking easier. The terrain is easy and varied up to the Pfinnalm alpine pasture, but on the ascent to the Pfinnscharte pass and along the summit ridge, our mountain reveals its alpine side: a very steep slope and a rocky summit ridge demand the expertise of a mountaineer. The reward is a magnificent view of the Gsies mountains, the Rieserferner Group, and, of course, the Dolomites.
Starting point: Valley town / Starting point: St. Magdalena in Gsies, 1398 m. Valley end hut or valley station of the ski lift at the end of the village of St.
