Original wall ascent for "daredevils "The Frauenluckensteig is one of the most interesting undertakings in the alpine surroundings of Vienna. From the Frauenlucken cave, which is accessed via a vertical wall, you climb up through a narrowing shaft on a free-standing, 15-metre-high ladder. With a descent via the equally secured but harmless Völlerinsteig, this results in a mountain tour for friends of varied, not too demanding climbing routes. However, the large ladder inside the Frauenluckenschacht requires arm strength and a little courage!
Starting point: Sundial parking lot, 590 m. Access from Stollhof, 459 m, or Maiersdorf, 502 m, to the junction at the toll house, 495 m (toll on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays). On the Hohe-Wand-Straße to the right turn under the walls and left to the large parking lot, 2 km.
