An original rock climb for daredevils: The Frauenluckensteig is one of the most interesting adventures in the alpine region around Vienna. From the Frauenlucken cave, accessed via a vertical rock face, a narrowing shaft leads up a freestanding, 15-meter-high ladder. Descending via the equally secured but harmless Völlerinsteig, this makes for a mountain climb for those who enjoy varied, not overly demanding routes. However, arm strength and a bit of courage are required for the large ladder inside the Frauenlucken shaft!
Starting point: Sundial parking lot, 590 m. Access from Stollhof, 459 m, or Maiersdorf, 502 m, to the junction at the tollhouse, 495 m (toll on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays). On Hohe-Wand-Straße, take the right-hand bend below the cliffs and turn left to the large parking lot, 2 km.
