A narrow path across the ridge – far from the world. Between Merishausen and the Gräte Valley, the Eselsrücken ridge rises narrowly, supporting the beautiful, dry meadows of the Gräte: at 45 hectares, the largest nature reserve in the canton of Schaffhausen. It provides a habitat for many orchids and other rare plants such as the pasque flower and the dittany. And it offers a walk through secluded natural beauty for awestruck visitors.
