Day 2 of 2 - Caminhos at their best The island of Santo Antão is known for its unique Caminhos. The caminho between Figueiras and Chã de Igreja stands out in particular, as there were architectural obstacles that made it difficult to implement. Due to two mighty mountain ridges up to 567 m high, which break off as steep cliffs towards the Atlantic, it was not possible to plan a path along the coastline.
