Ebrodelta – Bassa de les Olles
Flat hike along the edge of the Delta - diverse habitatsNo, the extensive Ebro Delta is hardly suitable for hiking: the many roads that criss-cross it are too wide and monotonous. And yet you can explore the diversity of this fascinating area on foot on this varied circular tour. Natural areas with beach vegetation, reeds and lagoons alternate with agricultural sections with rice fields, canals, sluices and pumping stations. The Bassa de les Olles nature reserve provides an ideal habitat for a large number of aquatic animals; a viewing tower and many observation points give us an excellent insight into this biotope.
Starting point: L"Ampolla, 2 m, on the southern edge of the village at the turning loop after Camping Ampolla Playa, where the asphalt ends and Platja de l"Arenal begins.Directions: In the village, follow the signs to Platja de Arenal. The beach road ends southwest of L"Ampolla with a tarmac turning loop before continuing as a sandy track behind the dunes.
