Durch den Parco Demidoff (Parco Mediceo di Pratolino)
Audience with the giant ApenninesA fairytale hiking experience in the woods south of Pratolino, which Francesco I de" Medici acquired in 1568 and had turned into one of the most famous landscape parks in Europe with ponds, water features and Mannerist figures. It was not renovated again until 1814, this time in the English style. 58 years later, the area passed to the Russian Prince Paul Demidoff, after whom it is still named today, and since 1981 it has been under the administration of the Province of Florence.
