The Dunkelsteinerwald Circuit (DUR), a 160-kilometer loop trail, connects the most beautiful spots in the Dunkelsteinerwald region in nine stages (and four connecting paths). It offers an unparalleled nature and hiking experience. The third stage (DUR 3) leads from Schenkenbrunn to Maria Langegg. ATTENTION: Route change: Due to numerous fallen trees, the detour from Scheiblwies towards Aggsbach is via the main road.
Trail DUR 3 leads us from Schenkenbrunn along meadows and fields to Geyersberg and Scheibelwies. After Scheibelwies, we hike along a truly unique country road. This partially paved road winds its way through dense mixed forests towards Maria Langegg. It likely dates back to Roman times.
