A breathtaking gorge awaits us on this hike. Starting from the village square in Faistenau, we walk along the Metzersteig to Ebenau and back via the Strubklamm.
Between the Vordersee reservoir and the Wiestal, the Almbach stream squeezes through enormous rocky gorges. The gorge-like valley cut, several kilometers long, created by erosion, forms the so-called Strubklamm. The hiking trail runs along the southern ledge above the gorge on the Metzgersteig, named after a legend.
