Indeed, this medieval village is exceptional. Built on a steep slope above the Ravin de Faquin gorge, the houses look as if they could slide down into the depths at any time. The backdrop: steep rock faces with the occasional shrub clinging to them. High above, the Cime de Baudon dominates the landscape. From its summit, the view of the coastline and the sea between Menton and Nice is unobstructed, as is the high alpine heart of the Maritime Alps with all its showpiece mountains.
