Cima Trappola (1865 m)
Panoramic views from the highest peak of the Lessinia range: Cima Trappola, at 1865 meters, lies on the northeastern edge of the Lessinia massif. Here, the Val Ronchi and Val d'Illasi valleys have carved deep gorges. The spectacular view of the Carega group and the Tre Croci range is the reward for the steep climb. To the south, the view extends far into the Po Valley and, on clear days, as far as the Apennines. The ski village of San Giorgio, our starting point, features concrete architecture from the 70s.
Starting point: San Giorgio ski resort; parking lot at the lower end of the resort (1505 m), directly below the Albergo Valon and a small ski lift base station. By car: Leave Bosco Chiesanuova towards Erbezzo, then follow the signs for San Giorgio; continue north on the SP6. Pass some houses of the Villaggio San Giorgio.
